NAHI Standards of Practice
Weber Appraisal Services states on the live site that inspections are conducted in accordance with the National Association of Home Inspectors standards below.
- The inspector will express an opinion only when it is based on practical experience and honest conviction.
- The inspector will always act in good faith toward the client.
- The inspector will not disclose any information concerning the results of the inspection without the approval of the client for whom the inspection was performed.
- An appraisal or opinion of the market value of the inspected property will not be expressed by the inspector within the context of the inspection.
- The standards apply to a visual inspection of the readily accessible areas of the property, components and systems.
- The purpose of the inspection is to identify visible defects and/or conditions that adversely affect the function and integrity of the items, components and systems inspected, or the health and safety of the dwelling occupants.
- Inspections performed under these standards are basically visual and rely on the opinion, judgment and experience of the inspector, and are not intended to be technically exhaustive.
- Inspections performed under these standards shall not be construed as a compliance inspection of any code.
Inspections performed under these standards are neither an expressed nor implied warranty or guarantee of the inspected property.
